Sustainability and Design

• What does it mean to be sustainable?

• What are sustainable materials? Do you think it is possible to make desirable things out of sustainable materials? Do you own any?

  • Homework

    • Create a model of a playground that would be made entirely of sustainable materials. Have a theme incorporated into the layout of the playground. 

Storytelling

• What makes a story interesting?

  • Homework

    • Write and illustrate your own story based on…

Novelty

• What does it mean to be Novel? Why is Novelty important? What do you think are 5 of the biggest challenges facing your generation? What is a new way of solving both old and new problems?

• What do you think is the most important skill to have in life?

• Tell us a story using a novel technique…? Examples "reading underwater", put it together with words clipped from online...etc 

 

Introspection

• Who are you? Who do you want to be?

• Why do you act the way you do? What do you want to change? Can you? Why don't you?

• What questions do you have about yourself? About life? Where can you find answers?
